Lassila & Tikanoja is a service company that is putting the circular economy into practice. Together with our customers, we keep materials, properties and factories in productive use for as long as possible and we enhance the use of raw materials and energy. We help our customers maintain the value of their properties and materials while protecting the environment.
L&T wants to develop business models in the Virpa D project, where the outputs of service production rather than individual deliveries matter.
“The real-estate sector is dominated by a performance-oriented production model, where cheaper prices often outweigh the benefits of a service. In this project, we intend to create business models where the most important element, i.e. the users of premises, will be better taken into account, for example through servitisation and comfortable environments,” says Antti Toivanen, Head of New Business at L&T.
According to Toivanen, the project will be an excellent addition to L&T’s ongoing projects in service management and customer value creation. New technologies also enable metering and data generation at a level never seen before.
With operations in Finland, Sweden and Russia, L&T employs 8,700 persons. Net sales in 2017 amounted to EUR 712.1 million. L&T is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
